Your privacy is important to me. This Privacy Policy explains how Basketball Coach collects, uses, and safeguards information when you visit or use the website.
Information Collected
Basketball Coach does not require you to create an account, and I do not intentionally collect personal information during normal gameplay.
I use analytics tools to understand how people use the app and to improve the game. These tools may collect anonymous or pseudonymous usage information, including:
- Pages visited
- Game modes selected
- Games started and completed
- Coaching actions, such as strategy changes, substitutions, and timeouts
- Feature usage, such as box score views, play-by-play views, court views, and share actions
- Browser type, device type, operating system, approximate location, referrer, and traffic source
- Performance information, such as Core Web Vitals
Game analytics may include public basketball-related data such as team names, opponent names, final scores, game mode, and game outcomes. I do not intentionally send email addresses, real names, or other directly identifying personal information to analytics providers.
Basketball Coach does not collect precise GPS location.
Browser Storage
Basketball Coach may use browser storage, such as localStorage and sessionStorage, to support app functionality and analytics. This may include:
- Anonymous analytics identifiers
- Session identifiers
- Saved league or gameplay progress
- Game preferences
These identifiers help measure whether users return, complete games, and use different parts of the app. They are not intended to personally identify you.
Analytics Providers

Basketball Coach also uses PostHog for product analytics, such as game funnels, retention analysis, feature usage, gameplay engagement, and limited session replay. For more information about PostHog's privacy practices, see: https://posthog.com/privacy.
Session Replay
Basketball Coach may use sampled session replay through PostHog to understand usability issues, debug user experience problems, and improve the app. Session replay records a limited sample of browser sessions and may capture interactions such as clicks, navigation, scrolling, and page state.
Session replay is not intended to collect personal information. Form inputs and sensitive fields are masked where practical. I do not intentionally use session replay to collect email addresses, real names, private messages, payment information, or other sensitive personal information.
Session replay is sampled, meaning only a small percentage of sessions are recorded. It is used for product debugging and usability analysis, not for advertising or profiling.
Newsletter
If you choose to subscribe to the newsletter, I collect the email address you provide for the purpose of sending updates about Basketball Coach. Newsletter subscriptions are handled by a third-party email service provider. You can unsubscribe from newsletter emails at any time.
Newsletter email addresses are not intentionally linked to gameplay analytics identifiers.
Third-Party Services
Basketball Coach may use third-party services for analytics, email delivery, hosting, advertising, and hosting-related infrastructure. These services may process limited technical or usage information as needed to provide their services.
Basketball Coach may display ads through Google AdSense. Advertising providers may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, measure, and improve ads.
