What is Basketball Coach?

Basketball Coach is a web-based simulation game built around the choices that decide basketball games: rotation management, offensive focus, defensive coverage, pace, substitutions, and late-game adjustments.

Select current NBA-inspired teams with distinct strengths, weaknesses, rotations, and matchup problems.

Change Game Plans

Modify your team gameplan on both offense and defense, tailoring your approach to each opponent and game situation.

Simulation Control

Observe the impact of your strategies in real-time. Efficiencies on both offense and defense are displayed throughout each game to help you refine your coaching adjustments.

Multiple Game Modes

Play a quick matchup, run the playoffs, manage a full league season, draft in Coach Mode, or take on daily challenges.

Quick Game Mode

Simulate a head-to-head matchup against any two NBA teams.

Coach Mode

Draft a roster, choose a coaching challenge, and make real-time decisions against an AI coach. Coach Mode includes difficulty options, seeded daily runs, custom sandbox rosters, and persistent coach profile progress.

League Mode

Play a full 82-game season with standings, team records, player stats, play-in games, playoffs, achievements, and career history across multiple seasons.

Playoff Mode

In Playoff Mode, simulate an entire playoff tournament with customizable teams and seedings.

Control any team throughout the playoffs or all 16 teams! Note that you cannot play in games where you control both teams.

Daily Challenges

Daily runs give every coach the same seeded player pool and opponent so results are easy to compare and share.
